Isolating in grief

Normal has disappeared. I don’t know what that is any more.

Wanting and needing time alone is natural in grief.

Withdrawing from busy schedules and activities is often helpful. However, if a person isolates to the point of almost never going out or interacting with anyone, there is probably cause for concern.

When a person ceases to functional in everyday life, that’s a signal that professional help is needed.
